I believe that most serious WoW guilds have dedicated dungeon/raid nights. We aren't THAT big (yet...) but maybe it would help us level up the guild more quickly if we set aside a dedicated day of the week when we could run dungeons and, in the future, raid. My previous guild had Friday set aside as a raid night and guild attendance was always at its peak on that day.

With summer coming up it could really be any day, since those who are in school will be out for a few months.
I vote for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. That way then no one has to worry themselves about getting on during the Weekend. The 3 day set obviously begins on Reset Day, which is perfect.
Just because specific dates are trying to be set, doesn't mean everyone has to cringe and force themselves to play. If anything, I'd look at the days as being an opportunity to play with a bunch of other guildies, and have some fun.
